Accessing the internet through a dial-up connection is considered to be one of the cheapest and most popular means of connecting to the Internet; this is obvious when we find that the average of subscribers to this service in Libya currently is around 55,000.
Providing this service is done through access servers spread wide throughout most of The Libya's main cities ( Tripoli , Musratah, Zawia, Khoms, Zletin, Benghazi , Surt, Houn, Sabha, and Biniwaleed).
These access servers act as bridges tying the modem of the subscriber's computer to the Internet. The connection is performed by simply dialing one of the Internet Service Numbers (0111, 111, or 3350800), the telephone exchanger transfers the call to the access server, which verifies the subscriber's user name and password, and thus the connection is established.
The number 3350800 is not free.
